I never realized it until I actually started to take pictures of families, but I have always been a photographer.
As a teenager my parents bought me a “grown-up” film camera, a Minolta XG-7 and I loved to play with it and took lots and lots of pictures. But I never realized my dream of becoming a photographer until about 6 years ago when I got my first digital camera. I haven’t stopped taking pictures since.
I see something wonderful in every family that I meet. I look at life as though through a lens, always seeing the beauty in people and, everywhere in nature as a potential setting. I am a natural light photographer based out of Grand Blanc, Michigan. I love a vintage barn, brick wall or chipped and peeling paint on an abandoned house, but I also love an open field, a graffitied wall or a wooded path.
I love lots of color in my photos, and dressing in colorful but coordinating clothing = awesome pictures. Some photos, however, lend themselves better to black and white. Your package may include black and white, desaturated or sepia toned images.
People tell me that I have “an eye” for photography. This allows me to capture your family as a loving, happy and perfectly imperfect group. Life isn’t perfect, however, your photos will reflect your perfect life. I want to capture the happy and interactive side of your family…. Your connections with each other and your children…. Your wonderful life together….
I have had clients tell me that their session was the most fun they’ve ever had during a photography shoot. Hearing that from each of my clients is my ultimate goal. I can’t wait to meet you and fulfill your family photography needs in an exciting, happy and totally fun session.
